Located in the historic Old Mills Winery building, CalCap Black Box Theatre is operated by the California Capital Arts Foundation a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3. A wonderfully versatile space and providing an intimate playing space for performers and audience members alike without neglecting any of the technology available in a larger theater.
With seating for up to 70 - CalCap Black Box Theatre is an interesting, one-of-a-kind space in which to watch and produce theatre, ranging from award-winning and well-reviewed solo shows to small character-driven plays and regular film and documentary screenings.
The versatility of CalCap Black Box Theatre gives actors and directors absolute artistic freedom. With our flexible seating arrangement, each production will have a customized actor-audience relationship, where audiences can expect a wide range of theatrical experiences.
